Bowie and the Internet

Im Jahre 1999 sagte David Bowie in einem 16-minütigen Interview mit BBC newsnight folgendes über das Internet:

I don’t think we’ve even seen the tip of the iceberg. I think the potential of what the internet is going to do to society, both good and bad, is unimaginable.

Als der Interviewer entgegnet »It’s just a tool, isn’t it?«, sagt Bowie:

No, it’s not, no. It’s an – alien form.

Und lacht dabei …
